History

There were fourteen industrial parks built, seven of them were in Ciudad Juarez, six in the state of Chihuahua, two in Coahuila and Yucatán. Furthermore, also serving to encourage the construction of industrial parks in the entire Republic.

All this would not have been possible without the contributions of many supporters. The main contributors were a group of entrepreneurs from Ciudad Juárez, in search of a new alternative for the city. One of them being Mr Antonio J. Bermúdez, director of the Programa Nacional Fronerizo (PRONAF), which launched after the United States, declared the program Braceros terminated, and therefore created a large number of returnees in search of work. Another important contributor was Adela a group of international companies that financed projects as non-recoverable in Latin American countries. The Secretary of Hacienda, Antonio Ortiz Mena, who believed in the project and contributed. Peter Drucker, another contributor that led the way to where it had to go. All of these national and international supporters helped pave the road for the first industrial park to be built in 1968 in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.
